Welcome

Masoud Jamei is a control engineer by training. His research interests include artificial intelligence-based modeling, optimization and control with applications in industry and medicine, disseminated through his publications.

Masoud's research is mainly concerned with in vitro in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) and development of perfusion-limited and permeability-limited Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models to simulate and predict Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion (ADME) properties of compounds in drug development. He is also involved in methods to predict the outcome of concomitant administration of multiple drugs and their metabolites. Application of advanced optimisation methods in drug development is another facet of his research.

In addition to research, he enjoys programming and developing interactive websites and has posted materials in the Tutorials section.

To remember friends who graduated from the University of Sheffield, Masoud prepared a Farewell Album — please pay a visit and enjoy.
