Welcome to Masoud Jamei siteMasoud Jamei is a control engineer by training and his research interests include artificial intelligence-based modeling, optimization and control with applications in industry and medicine disseminated through his publications. Masoud's research is mainly concerned with in vitro in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) and development and implementation of both perfusion-limited and permeability-limited Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models to simulate and predict Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion (ADME) properties of compounds in drug development. He is also involved in the development of methods and algorithms to predict the outcome of concomitant administration of multiple drugs and their metabolites. Application of advanced optimisation methods in drug development is another facet of his research.
In addition to research, he much likes programming and developing interactive websites and in the past has prepared some materials and posted them in the Tutorials section. To remember his friends who graduated from the University of Sheffield, Masoud has prepared a Farewell Album, please pay a visit and enjoy. |
